Hi @Shaik22,

In ServiceNow, manual mapping is when you specify the rules for matching data fields. Auto mapping is when you use software or tools to automatically match data.

Mapping assist is a visual environment for specifying mapping between import set fields and target table fields. It uses a pre-trained artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm and community mappings to suggest mappings for the fields in the nodes that you add when building a flow.

Manual mapping (or explicit mapping) is when you specify the rules or criteria for matching the data fields manually.
Auto mapping (or implicit mapping) is when you use software or tools that automatically match the da... Types of data source and port values for each type.

Hello @Shaik22

Field maps establish a relationship between a field in an import set table and a field in the target table.

Before you begin

Role required: import_transformer, import_admin, or admin

About this task

The field map determines what values from the source table the transformation adds to the target table.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > System Import Sets > Transform Maps.
  2. Open a transform map.
  3. In the Field Maps related list, click New.
  4. Complete the form.

2. Manual Mapping vs Auto Mapping :-

In tranform map we can manually map the field from source table to field of target table whichever we want.

Auto Mapping :-

When clicking of Auto Map matching field will automatically map the fields of source and target on the basis of backend names which are commonly matching.
