Simulator Task 3 Validation Issue - Comment saved as Work Note (Blue bar) despite field selection

I am currently working on the [Insert Course Name, e.g., ServiceNow Fundamentals] Micro-Certification. I am stuck on Task 3: Create and Comment on a Record.

The Issue: I have followed all steps (Caller: Adela Cervantes, Group: Software, Subcategory: Email). However, the validator keeps returning: "Did you Post a Comment?"

Technical Details:

  • I am posting the text into the Additional comments (Customer visible) field.

  • I have tried unchecking the "Work notes" checkbox and clicking "Post" directly, but the system still records it as a Work Note.

Steps Tried:

  1. Impersonating "Platform User."

  2. Deleting and recreating the Incident.

  3. Manually typing the comment to avoid copy-paste spaces.

Hi @MohdT4835709720,

 

I ran through the Welcome to ServiceNow (Zurich) Micro-Certification today and it worked fine for me. One thing I noticed from your second screenshot is that you have changed the Incident category from 'Inquiry / Help' to 'Software' - this step is not detailed in the instructions so my guess is that the simulator instance is not able to reconcile exactly what it expects vs. your attempt.

 

If you're still stuck, try creating a new Incident and only change/add the details outlined in the instructions.
