Journal field data cleared in Service Operations Workspace when saving & required fields missing

Good day!  I've encountered a change in Service Operations Workspace after upgrading from Xanadu to Zurich this past weekend.  If journal data is entered and the record saved with required field not filled in the warning is displayed and the journal data is deleted.  This is happening with incidents and interactions and possibly more but I have not confirmed.  This did not happen in Xanadu. I do not see a relevant configuration that would cause this.

Thanks in advance for any insight on this before I open a case with Support.

then it seems to me a bug during the upgrade.

Please raise a case with ServiceNow on this.
