How to get out of App Engine Studio and go back to the main servicenow service management window

I am using App Engine Studio to create a new App by following instructions in Departmental Request App Tutorial https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/learn/tutorials/rome/parent_tutorial_departmental_request_app_tutorial/tutorial_tutorial_departmental_request_exercise_6__test_your_app_rome, however, the creater_user doesn't have the permission to create a new request form. I want to go back to the default ServiceNow app where I can change the permission. when clicking on the instance url, it only directs me to the App Engine Studio. How to get out of it?

@Lei Wang Hey .. Hope you are doing well.

I'm sure that , you are using new tab for App Engine Studio to create a new App. I suggest to back to your instance url (https://devxxxx1.service-now.com/now/appenginestudio/home) . Thanks!

Hope this help you

The above is the window I want to see. It is frustrating when I go to my instance url https://devxxxx1.service-now.com, it always goes to https://devxxxx1.service-now.com/now/appenginestudio/home.

I want to see the servicenow service management window, which has the list of things on the left panel, including homepage, requests...

here is the video https://youtu.be/1rr0BNCEga0

you can see the page stayed at service management window shortly then eventually went to the app engine window. I want to go to service management window.

Did you try to close the tab or window of https://devxxxx1.service-now.com/now/appenginestudio/home and login again ? or maybe did you try to open the URL - https://dev88131.service-now.com in another tab or window ?

Wahid

Hi there,

Although this is a thread post last year, want to share the solution in case others don't know.

On the ServiceNow Developer Site, click your account on the top right and select "Change User Role". Change the role from "App Engine Studio Creator" to "Admin". And click on the "Change User Role" button at the bottom right. Use nav_to.do to refresh your personal instance, then you will get to the instance page. Hope this helps.

Best,

Estelle
