When Importing a CSV File why are weird character inserted in first field name

Hi Folks:

Bit of a weird situation  when we import data from a CSV file into a data source, the first field name looks like the picture below.  We have tried different files, different users and different PCs.  Our instance of course remains the same.  What causes this and how can we get rid of these characters?

If the csv file has a BOM. ServiceNow doesn't support BOM.

Hi,

please ensure the csv is in correct encoding.

try to delete that column from import set table

Ensure csv column is updated

Reload the data
