Can "Now Assist Q&A Genius Result" generate answer from external sources as it is using RAG?

Hi Team,

Can "Now Assist Q&A Genius Result" generate answer from external sources? As this functionality is using RAG architecture , first it does an AI search with user query and as AI search can bring data from external sources can it provide the external searched data to Now LLM to generate the augmented result?

Is it possible via Now LLM?

or we have to write a flow where flow will do an AI search to external source and fetched data will be stored in a variable and then pushed to a third party LLM via Gen AI controller to generate an answer?

Please help with the correct solution and steps.

@TDalal We do not currently support Now Assist Q&A on external sources out of the box, however we are looking to bring support to this in future Now Assist store releases. Hope this answers your question.
