How long does it take for new articles to be searchable in the portal with AI Search enabled? Do we need to set up scheduled reindexing?

With Zing, articles appear in search results immediately after the article is published. We are not seeing that with AI Search. Is there supposed to be a delay? Is there someplace where we should be scheduling reindexing of the knowledge tables?

Hi Christy,

Incremental reindexing occurs (roughly) every 30 seconds on ServiceNow Indexed Sources. There is no need to schedule something yourself.

As Maik mentioned, there may be occasion that a full reindex is needed, but it usually has to do with making changes to your index configuration.

Hope this helps!

Hi

basically the same applies also for the AI search and only In some circumstances, a full reindex has to be performed.

See https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/tokyo-platform-administration/page/administer/ai-search/concept/i... for more information.
