What documentation is there for the meta field on KB articles using AI Search. I see only generic statements in the documentation and then different opinions about how meta influences the search results.
In some cases people recommend using the underscore to represent phrasing (i.e., computer_browser) as if it were within "", while others say that ServiceNow tokenizes those phrases so if you have multiple phrases (i.e., computer_browser, desktop_browser, laptop_browser) then browser is being boosted (keyword stuffing). Still others are stating that there is no boosting for repeated words in the meta field and that search ignores repeats.
Can anyone out there point us to documentation that fully describes the effects of the meta field on AI Assist search?
Thanks,
Adam

Hi @amarks
Q: Out-of-the-box meta is not indexed by AI search. Does anyone advise switching this on? Our meta is very heavily influenced by previous use in Zing
A: There was a time where AI Search did not index meta by default, as of San Diego we are including Meta. A good way to check whether that is the case for you is to check under index sources you explicitly do not index meta which is under your field settings and mappings within your index source for AI Search.
Q: Are Keywords back in use for a user to input or is that Keywords that AI puts in?
A: Keywords are the fields that are associated with the meta field on the article or the tags that are on the article.
