Hi
Simple question - although the synonyms are bi-directional, is there anyway to force them to work unidirectionally. This would be handy for working on items that are within categories (without this information needing to be explicitly stated in a KB or catalog item). For example if a user is searching for 'macbook issues' it might also be useful to expand the search to 'laptop issues' but not 'thinkpad issues'.

Currently there is no means to make the synonym expansion unidirectional. I would encourage you to add an ideal on the ideal portal.
