Is it possible to disable Dynamic Translation for some users?

We are looking to deploy Dynamic Translation but some of our users shouldn't be able to use it. We have an internal recovery model for teams that need to use it. Is there a way to disable it for forms and chat per record?

Hi Alex,

 

I can definitely understand the principle of the UI providing a consistent experience. On the flip side, if a team uses the service and runs up a bill that no one is prepared to fund, we are in a bad spot financially. There's no way to inform users that clicking this button is a chargeable action. It's an ice cream machine in an office that costs each time it's used, but no sign telling anyone of the fee.

 

Ideally, there'd be an easy way to control the functionality at a group level, without customization, and that's what we are looking for.

Has anyone found a solution to this question? Basically to allow only a selected group of users to user dynamic lang. translation in agent chat?

So I'm afraid it's not possible by groups, but there is a property that allows you to restrict DT on certain tables. If you check "Dynamic Translation" properties page you will see it there,
