Request Translation Not Working for Migrated KB Article

Hi,

We encountered an issue where if we request translation from a migrated article (e.g. XXKB00001), it doesn't work. But for KB articles (e.g. KB00001), the request translation is working fine.

To reproduce the issue:

1. Choose any Published migrated article (In our case, it's XXKB00001) and avoid choosing any article starting with 'KB'

2. Click request translation and choose any language

3. It will create translation task

4. Click Translate button

5. Create a draft article (for translated article)

6. Click Publish

7. The translated article should show under Translated Versions tab (highlighted tab below).

Expected Result:

Actual Result:

The issue is that with XXKB articles, we cannot see the relationship with the parent article under Translated Versions. With KB article, it is showing on that tab.

Is there something we are missing or is there any configuration that we need to check to figure out why it's not showing for migrated articles (XXKB)?

Appreciate all kind of help we can get. Thanks!

@amielalcala,

Could you confirm what scope you are requesting the LF tasks with and if there are any new "Restricted Cross Scope" requests that might affect it?

Many thanks,
kind regards

Hey @Alex Coope - SN

Appreciate your prompt response.

I'm just using a Global scope. I checked on Restricted Cross Scope too, there are no requests related to Translations.

Weird thing is while I'm doing further testing on some GEKB article, it is working. While for some GEKB, it is not. It is inconsistent, that's why I'm having a hard time tracking down the root cause.

Is there anything else I need to check to troubleshoot this?

Thanks a lot!

ok, could you raise a Case on NowSupport/Hi and I'll liaise with the team's after it's been triaged,

Many thanks,
kind regards
