Hello Experts,
First query :
I wanted to understand the field "status" in the localization request ?
Scenario : I have requested a catalog item for translation it gets translated in 12 languages but the status show it is partially translated but the state is "closed complete" and the update set has the customer update. Then again I request for translation it shows status field as partial translated and state "closed completed" ,it does not have any any customer update in update set. Moreover, while requesting for translation for second time it also gives a message "No more field to translate".
Second query :
I wanted to understand how the request translation UI page which shows "Partial translated" or "completely translated" is updated upon the catalog item.
Scenario : Few of the catalog item is completely translated through the localization framework but UI page shows it is partial translated upon catalog item and the report of two days old , how do we get the report updated on the UI page upon catalog item.
Please help.

@Abc 26,
That is a good question. So "status" such as "partially translated" means that if you have 8 out of 10 strings already translated, then it's exactly that "partially translated" because 2 are still to do (out of the original 10). Where-as "state" is about the step in the process (Open, Closed etc),
You can find more information about the "states" here, and you can find more general information here,
So for your first question there's possible a few reasons for this:
1. you might have an old task open and incomplete for that catalog item in that given language which is conflicting the "insight's" record,
2. you might have a source string that is empty, and thus doesn't need to be translated (this would be visible in the comparison UI on the left as an empty value)
For your second question:
It's purely run from the insights job and therefore what makes up the "insights dashboard" reports - more info here
It's also possible that the Insights job just hasn't run it's latest iteration yet as it's typically daily,
Many thanks,
kind regards

In my experience, the "status" field often reflects the current state of the translation in the system, like whether it's fully or partially done. If the status shows "partially translated" but everything is marked as "closed complete," it could be that some fields or updates weren’t included in the translation request. I’ve found that sometimes updates from customers don’t trigger an automatic status change, which can lead to discrepancies.
For the second query, we had a similar situation with catalog items where the translation status wasn’t updating properly. What worked for us was ensuring that all fields were properly mapped and that we refreshed the UI or manually re-triggered the update process.
Using website localization tools helped us streamline the process, and we got more consistent updates.
