AIOps Experience

Have you heard of the AIOps Experience yet? ITOM Health introduced this new store app bundle as part of the 23' Q3 store release. I have already written blogs covering the capabilities of AIOps Dashboards and Integrations Launchpad, and in this blog, I will give an overview of Express List.

Does accelerating operator productivity and efficiency sound like something you want in your organization? I think you should keep reading then!

Express List

Express List is a live alert list with an intuitive interface and customizable experience to view, manage and action alerts. This innovation increases productivity, reduces manual effort, and increases visibility over live alerts. Of the many features of Express List, I will be highlighting the following:

  • Live alert streaming
  • Pop-out alert panel
  • Alert clustering
  • Personalized columns
  • Personalized filters
  • Filtering by alert tags
  • Quick actions on Alerts

Live Alert Streaming

Express List is a live alert list, meaning that it is no longer necessary to manually refresh a list every few minutes to see new alerts. Another click reduced!

But sometimes a live alert list is not ideal in situations when you are being flooded by alerts – do not worry, we thought about this! You can pause the list so you can focus on the alerts already on the list, without the extra noise.

And maybe you step away for a quick coffee break, and when you come back you start wondering what happened in the last 10 minutes. Instead trying to remember what the last alert was before you stepped away, you can set the time range of the list to the last 10 minutes to easily review everything you missed.

Pop-Out Alert Panel

The pop-out alert panel keeps operators focused on specific alerts, while still allowing them to keep an eye on other alerts coming in. The key alert information can be seen in the panel without having to open an additional tab in your browser. However, if you do want to see the full alert form, then a new tab will open in the Service Operations Workspace, allowing you to stay in the same page.

Alert Clustering

Reducing noise is a top priority when analyzing alerts. One way to reduce alert noise is by correlating similar alerts, and clustering them together, where we leverage multiple correlation techniques to do this.

Once alerts are grouped together and clustered in Express List, a primary alert is generated to cluster the alerts together and explain why the alerts were grouped. By default, alert clusters are contained in an unexpanded dropdown list which can be expanded.

Similar to the pop-out alert panel representing an individual alert, there is a panel for clustered alerts summarizing the information about the group. While in the grouped alert panel, you can continue to drill down into individual alerts.

Personalized columns

No two people are the same, and their columns and Express List should not be either! Columns in Express List can be customized to include or exclude any fields that you want. If a field has additional details, you can even drill down, and dot walk fields. Feel free to also rearrange the order of the columns if you want!

Personalized Filters

Remember what I just said about columns? Well, the same applies to filters. Add or remove filters, create new filters by dot walking fields that have additional information, and reorder anything that you would like!

Filtering using Alert Tags

Alert tags are an additional way to filter alerts if you have them setup. Like modifying the regular filters, you can select which alert tags you want to add as a filter. For example, if you have an alert tag for data center locations, you can add that alert tag to filter for specific locations.

Quick Actions on Alerts

Are you working through alerts and know exactly what action you want to perform on one or more of them? Quick actions are here to save the day! Simply check off the alert(s) that you want to action and click on your pinned quick action or any of the other actions that we have available. With a single click, you can action multiple alerts to close, be assigned, acknowledged, and more! And if you have remediation playbooks setup for alerts, you can trigger them through quick actions.
