We are already using Discovery.
Are there any benefits of using Agent client collector for visibility?

Are there any benefits of using Agent client collector for visibility?--> Service Now has introduced ACC-M in Step 1 and then it will also introduce AGENT BASED Discovery. So your discovery will have 2 options apart from ACC-M (a new Monitoring Tool ) .
Why its a need and service now will introduce it very soon--->
============Content from Service Now =============
Upcoming capabilities:
ACC provides a framework shared across ServiceNow products, the first one being ITOM Health for monitoring. Early next year the Agent capabilities will extend to Discovery to more fully and accurately populate a CMDB and be compliant with ServiceNow’s Common Service Data Model. Help Desk will be able to seamlessly retrieve or modify information on the target device where the agent resides, Operations will collect software usage on the target device and SecOps will be able to keep up with vulnerabilities and incidents in real time. Operations teams will also be able to automate remediation via workflows accessing the Agent directly. Log ingestion will be included in the second half to ingest infrastructure and application logs to further enhance ServiceNow AIOps capabilities.

It comes from Agentless discovery VS Agent Based Discovery . Many customers are hesitant in sharing
Domain Admin user/Root User for discovery as its all stored in Service Now Cloud and used during all discovery. Security comes here in picture.
Agent based discovery some where kills this and Creds are only required at time of Agent Installation. Once Agent is installed on Hosts it works seamless and its more secure compare to Agentless.
This is the one of the biggest use case.
Also Agent based discovery uses less n/w band-witdh than Agentless discovery.
You will get fair idea on this Article.

end result is same as it will populate and enrich the data.
Hope this helps.

Hi Suggy Definitely yes. ACC is very good application in terms of doing those specific checks on your infrastructure for the policies you define. Discovery is good when you want to get CI discovered but to have them monitored ACC can be used. Though ACC also uses basic discovery to collect logs and data it always give you fantastic experience through its Health dashboard. If you ask me its perfect addon if you have large infrastructure where Monitoring is not easy. Please mark my answer correct and helpful if applicable Thank you Prasad
