Authentciation failed during clone request

Hello All,

I have successfully cloned our dev instance from production instance.When am trying to clone our test environment am getting error like authentication failed.But user name and password is correct and also I have admin access in test environment.Can some one please help?

Hi Salu,

You need to use a LOCAL admin account in the target instance to perform a clone, you cannot use LDAP / ADFS credentials to request a clone of an instance.

Had the same issue and based on the above, I also created a LOCAL account in the target instance and used that to authenticate.

Hello, Salu, Nick, and others.  I don't see anything about LDAP or ADFS in the referenced article.  Can someone please mark the correct answer.  Thanks. 

Thanks, but not sure how step 11 in that article tells us anything.  Did the article perhaps change after you referenced it?
