Automatically create and assign tickets on specified date quarterly

I'm trying to find out if there is a way to have the system automatically generate and assign tickets to my manager on a quarterly basis.   I need the ticket to be auto populated with some basic text.   Is this even possible?   If this requires coding, please help me out with providing the code needed as I'm not familiar with coding.

Then you can create 4 similar templates and Schedule them on a Yearly basis on those specific dates.


So 1 would run at the beginning of every Quarter.

4 annual jobs for each of those dates would work and be the easiest.   Or you could be clever and write a condition script so that it only fires the job if the month is equal to Jan or Apr or Jul or Oct.



Depends how clever you want to be.


I think I'll just go with creating 4 jobs for the specified dates.   Thanks for all your suggestions and input.   Much appreciated!

Chris - go to templates under 'System Definition' and create your template - give it a name and set the Short Description and any other fields you want to set.



Then, again under System Definition go to Scheduled Jobs and choose 'create an incident' you'll be able to set it to run periodically - so every 30 days or similar.



And then in the final field 'Generate this' find the template you created.
