Best Practice to do break down Application or Service mapping

How can we break down "active Directory" / "SAP" into an application service for service mapping ? likely there will be one for all, might be one per domain name?

Any suggestions/Best Practices around it ?

But Active Directory is still a question and how to split or whether to split this application or not.

Did you create a service map for Active Directory application? I am trying to find any information to start with AD App service mapping.
