Can Discovery credentials be transferred to a new instance via an update set?

I'm migrating ServiceNow Discovery from a sandbox instance (free, personal dev instance) to my company's dev instance, then eventually to test and prod. Most of the config changes I've made in the sandbox are being packaged into update sets and reapplied to the new instacne. What about credentials? Can those go into an update set or do I need to re-enter them all manually in the new instance?

Thanks,
-Kevin

Yes i have validated the password is encrypted, and i also try doing this with an update set with any luck...

I am hoping some one have any reference to what may be happening here, i have seen many of you saying you were able to import and work well with this procedure

It Should work as per Service Now KB

Thank you for the article, i read this is for a cloned instance however the environment on which i am importing the credential is a new ServiceNow instance. I don't have any issue message like the one mentioned in the article, the credential imported is just not working in the new environment but it does work in the old...

Thank you for the article, the instance on which i am importing the credential is not a clone it is a new environment, i don't have the scenario on which if i open the credential record is not found.

Testing the imported credential does not work, if i test the same credential in the source environment it does. Some how the password isn't working...  any ideas?

If you want to contain everything within an update set, you can always use the "Add to Update Set Utility" from ServiceNow Share. It will add a UI Action to force any type of record into the update set. Even though it is slightly easier to just XML export the list of discovery_credentials you've created, forcing them into an update set will help track your Discovery implementation from your Developer instance to your company instances.
