CI Updated and Most Recent Discovery

I have a very large volume of CIs of various types where the "Updated" date and the "Most Recent Discovery" dates are over a year old, yet the Operational Status and the Install Status are Operational/Installed. For now I'm limiting this question to dscy_swtch_fwd_rule and dscy_route_next_hop CI types but I'm trying to understand what this actually means. Do the older dates reflect the fact that these CIs no longer exist? Should I be doing something to purge them or set these statuses?

If those CIs are not being updated then first thing would be to check if those are part of discovery.

Second, if they are then you can try check the quick discovery and verify if there is any issue with credentials.

by older dates, it cannot be referred as 'no longer required/exist'; it is bascially not getting updated and above 2 points should help in understanding what is the cause.
