Hi,
Can we change the default ports for discovery of different CIs to some other ports (/of our choice) ? Is that customization available in SNOW Discovery ? please share some relevent documents regarding the same.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I know many customers have some other ports for few devices and devices types.
Yes you can change the default port but i wont recommended that.
Instead create new entry in IP service table. There are of course few limitations like we need to maintain it, we need to check if there are other patterns probes script which makes use of this default ports.
Thanks,
Ashutosh

Hi Anupam,
yes. That's possible.
Here is one example to use custom port 8443 in addition to port 22 for ssh.
1. Create IP service entry with your custom port (see screenshot below)
2. Add this entry under Triggered by service in your port probe for ssh.(see screenshot below)

Hi Nikhil,
Can you help me with below queries, regarding the solution you suggested,
- Where did you get this resolution from ?(any docs or links for implementaion will be helpful).
- Did you implement in your env ? Was it successful or you faced some issues?
- Can this be done with other CI type also ? are there any limitations with this ?
Thanks.

Please check this link. I haven't implemented it so far, so don't have much details regarding the challenges or issues of using this.
