Discovery Error: Failed Exploring CI Pattern, Pattern name: Credentialless Discovery Network Device

Hi Folks,

I am reviewing our Discovery Active Errors for the first time since inheriting my company's ServiceNow instance a year ago. We have hundreds, if not thousands, of active errors with the following short message:

"Failed Exploring CI Pattern, Pattern name: Credentialless Discovery Network Device"

Can anyone help me understand what these mean and how to resolve/close these out?

Thanks!

Are you intending to Run Credential less discovery?

You can disable it and disco will only run using Defined Credentials .

There would be some text next to Credentialless Discovery Network Device" like

"To Check Pattern Log Press" -- can you check the logs to find out why it failed.

When I drill into the Horizontal Discovery Log, here is what I see:

Check For Output Payload Errors

2022-01-06 00:31:09: Identification CI Errors: In payload invalid data source [CredentiallessDiscovery] exist. You need to provide a valid choice value from field [discovery_source] in table [cmdb_ci]

Unfortunately, I don't know what this means.

Thanks Rahul, we ended up disabling credentialless discovery.
