Hello Community,
Not using Cloud Management Plugin. We have only ServiceNow Discovery. What data collected for below both IaaS and PaaS
-Azure PaaS (Is it Service Principal credential needed)
-Azure IaaS (Is it Service Principal credential needed)
-Backups and Restore (tapes, libs,Netbackup etc) what credential needed?
Is this link for Azure IaaS and PaaS both without Cloud Management Plugin?
Many Thanks

Hi SNowUser11
Yes, it's also my understanding that Cloud Discovery is part of ITOM Visibility/Discovery. I'm also working with Cloud Provisioning and Governance, CGP (used to be called Cloud Management Platform, CMP), so I haven't tried it myself and for a final nod I'd suggest you verify it with your ServiceNow Account Manager.
The link you've provided is correct, with the addition of:
- Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns from the store for new/updated patterns (check dependencies and licensing requirements)
- Microsoft Azure Inventory discovery if you want to discover also resources that doesn't have dedicated pattern.
Best regards
Brian

Hi SNowUser11
Yes it does. If you scroll down to Azure Cloud Discovery > Data collected for Azure Cloud Discovery on the page you referenced you'll see that these are part of the default patterns:

Ah yes I see. Thanks but it needs Service principal account if I am not wrong.
--What about Backups/restores (like mentioned earlier tapes, libs, NetBackup,DPM server? Does Servicenow discovers them ?
Thanks
