Cisco Devices running IOS-XE are returning neighbor devices but devices running NX-OS are not. IOS-XE devices are using CDP to identify NX-OS neighbors, shouldnt CDP also be running on the NX-OS devices during discovery? Any help here would be appreciated, thanks

Either NX-OS based models or the neighbor devices should have the lldp/cdp capability, because
LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) and CDP (Cisco Discovery Protocol) are link layer protocols for directly-connected LLDP and CDP-capable neighbors to advertise themselves and their capabilities.
I've seen some security network appliances not reporting neighbor devices.
Hope this helps

Did you ever get this resolved? When I run network discovery on a Nexus devices im not receiving anything back and I know that I should be. I looked at the devices and noticed it is running Cisco NX-OS.
