Saleem,

Are email.read events being generated for emails in the inbox?   Is the event processor picking up the email.read events and processing them?   Did this problem start recently or is this the first time setting up processing inbound emails?

If this used to work on one of your companies production or sub-prod instances and it has stopped working recently and it is affecting a business need for your company, I would recommend submitting an incident through HI.

Thanks

Brian

Saleem,

as Brian mentioned, you need to check that the email.read events are being generated. You also need to check that the events processor jobs are running correctly and have not been running for a long time: it could show that there is an event blocking the processor from continuing to process other events.

Also, have you checked that there have been no errors when processing the emails? To check that you can open an unprocessed email and check the logs regarding that email (there is a related list at the bottom of the email page. If you can't see it, you can personalize the view and add the related list).

It can happen that the emails do not match any of the inbound actions available. Another possible point to consider is that the email has been marked to be deleted even though it is still in the inbox. If that is the case, it means that the emails have been processed but are waiting for the cleanup job to move them to the correct folder/delete them.

This all works for the inbound emails.

If you are having a problem with the sending of emails, you will want to check that the SMTP sender job.

If you are still having the issue, you could attach a screenshot to show what you mean.

Kind regards,

Alexandra
