Empty Records coming through discovery for MSFT SQL Instance

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue where around 1551 empty records are found in the CMDB, specifically under the class MSFT SQL Instance.

Here’s what I’ve already configured:

  • Identification rule is set with the following:

    • Criterion attributes: Instance name and Class

    • Allow null attributes is unchecked

    • Allow fallback to parent’s rule is set to true

  • Reconciliation rule is configured with the Discovery source = ServiceNow.

I have attached the screenshot of how it is configured.

However, despite these configurations, empty attributes are still being created through Discovery.

Could anyone please suggest what could be causing this or if there’s any additional configuration I should

@Pranavaas The empty records are allowed because you selected 'Null attributes' are allowed and the only attribute differentiating is 'Instance Name'. Class is OOB. 

Uncheck the null attribute and also try to add another attribute for Identification as just the Instance name might not be enough(I am not sure though).
