Error Message Delete of SERVER not allowed because of a reference in record INCXXXXXX within the Task file - how do i clean these up

we have some data corruption (duplicate server, one is "server" and one is "linux server") and want to delete the CI's and start fresh.

Receiving the following message(s): Error MessageDelete of xxxxxx not allowed because of a reference in record INC00XXX  within the Task file (that's just one)

How do we clean this up so we can remove the CI's? (a script would be fine)

Hi,

Incident CI field is populated with that CI which you are trying to delete. So move the incident to some other CI and then delete this CI.
