How to inactivate or delete a plugin

Hi Community,

I am relatively new to SN and am in the midst of upgrading to Eureka. I enabled Performance Analytics. After a few conversations with staff we agreed not to use it at this time.

My question is how do I inactivate or delete this plugin? SN will not allow me to change the status.

Thanks in advanced for any ideas.

Patti

Hi Patti,

Just do a quick search for "Plugins", click System Definition>Plugins and then find the plugin you are looking for. Once you find that plugin, click on it and then choose for it to be inactive. The choice list is on the right side of the form and you may need security_admin rights to do it.

Thanks,

Joe

Thx Joe,

I am logged in as a security admin. The drop down for status is read only. I cannot change it to inactive.

Any ideas?

Patti,

I am sorry to inform you that once a plugin is activated, it cannot be deactivated. This slipped my mind earlier and I apologize.

Take a look at this:

Activating ServiceNow Plugins - ServiceNow Wiki

Thanks,

HI J,

Curses. Is it possible to hide it for specific roles?

Fortunately, this is only on a dev version. I'm assuming I can exclude it from an update set. Is that correct?

Best regards,

Patti
