Hi All,
I do not have much knowledge on the Discovery and mid server. I have been trying to troubleshoot one of the issues in the Instance and I do have the credentials to login to the Mid server.
May I know the steps to login to the Mid server with these credentials. Should I use the IP address of the mid server and login to the server using the username and password. Is it through putty? Please help !
Thanks & Regards,
Rajalakshmi.

Later, you have to go to the folder where Mid Server has been installed (in general C:\ServiceNow\MID Server).
You can also check the status of the Mid Server windows service and do restart of the service following this procedure:
Procedure
- Open the Windows Services console.
- Double-click the
ServiceNow
<MID Server name>
service for each MID Server. - Select the Log On tab.
- Set Log on as privileges with the user account (local or on a domain) that has local admin access to the MID Server host.
The MID Server upgrade process deploys a temporary Windows service which requires local administrator privileges.
- In the General tab, set the Startup type.
The field is set to Automatic by default.
- Click OK.
- Restart the ServiceNow <MID Server name> service, and make sure that ServiceNow\<MID Server name>\agent\logs\agent0.log does not have error messages. If the MID Server does not start, see the ServiceNow knowledge article Review the agent log for MID Server errors (article KB0535148).
- On the instance to which this MID Server is connected, navigate to MID Server > Servers. If Discovery is installed, alternately navigate to Discovery > MID Servers.
All MID Servers connected to this instance are listed.
- Make sure that the Status of the MID Server you just installed is Up.

Hi,
You need to know the Server machine credentials, if it's a Windows machine, you need to use Remote Desktop Connection, select the IP Address or Host name of the server where the MID Server is installed and login using the system adminstrato credentials of that machine, these are NOT the MID Server credentials set during the installation procedure.
Hope this can help you!
