Hi All,
I have experience in CMDB, Discovery and Service Mapping and would like to expand my knowledge and learn Event Management. ServiceNow University course have few labs and many links to read articles. As i didnt have any project experience i feel it quiet difficult to follow. Is there any other useful resources available to gain knowledge in Event Management module? Please share

Hello @Suvetha S,
From an architectural perspective, transitioning from Discovery to Event Management is the natural evolution of an ITOM architect. However, the biggest mistake people make when learning Event Management is focusing entirely on the ingestion connectors and ignoring the resulting data model.
Your study path should be heavily indexed on Alert Correlation and Service Impact. An event by itself is just a noisy log file. The true architectural value of Event Management is its ability to suppress that noise.
I highly recommend diving deep into the ServiceNow product documentation specifically regarding the CMDB Alert Grouping engine. Study how the platform traverses the CMDB relationships (that you previously built via Service Mapping) to calculate the severity of a business service degradation. If you can architect a system in your PDI that condenses 10,000 raw infrastructure events into a single actionable incident linked to the correct business service, you have mastered the architectural intent of the module.
