How to remove MID server entry from Snow instance

Hi Everyone,

I would like to remove a MID server entry from my Snow instance. I have already stopped/uninstall the service on MID server but it is still showing under Snow Discovery with DOWN status.

Please suggest how should I process with this.

Thanks

If you have administrative rights, you should be able to simply delete the record.find_real_file.png

There are two steps:

  • Delete the MID server record from its form.
  • Remove the mid server installed on the PC.   If this is not done, the mid server record will be recreated when the service is restarted.

Good luck!

Thank you Jacob, what I was thinking that if I remove the service from MID server than the MID record from Snow get deleted/removed.

-In my case I want to reinstall MID server with the upgraded version and I removed the service, do I need to delete the files as well before installing new one.

-Also, I would like to give a different name to services for different instance connectivity of MID service. Modification in wrapper file would work in this case?? I did this but modifications were not reflected in service details.

Thanks you again for your valuable suggestions.

Raj,

Make your modifications in the wrapper-override.conf file.   If you make your changes to the wrapper.conf file, they will get overwritten by the file I mentioned and appear that your changes did not take hold.   Let me know if you're able to install your additional mid server after modifying the override file.
