Hi
The builtin SCCM plugin distinguishes between a Windows PC/Server SKU's when creating CIs of classtype s cmdb_ci_computer (PC) and cmdb_ci_win_server (Server). I wonder if the classtype cmdb_ci_pc_hardware (Personal Computer) has become the intended model for a Windows laptop or workstation?
What I understand is that the classtype cmdb_ci_pc_hardware is relatively new. Should I target this more specific class for a Windows Workstation/laptop (even af MAC perhaps?) rather than the cmdb_ci_computer class that in my perception is designed as a container/interface class.
bsweetser - any comments?

Hi Anders,
Based on following thread
How to prevent discovering Computer CIs
"the PC hardware table is for the extended cmdb plugin and isnt directly tied to discovery functionality."
