I have 2 rogue details tabs I can't close in the Service Operations Workspace. I deleted these 2 test incidents while they were on-hold, but now I can't close the tabs via close all tabs option or clicking on them.
lose all tabs

Did the "details" tabs ever go away on the original browser? We have a user experiencing the same issue. They also only appear in one browser, but it is their preferred browser. Already tried the basic logging in and out, clearing cache, closing browser, using different browser (which does work, but isn't ideal long term).

Hi, we have a user experiencing the exact same issue in Firefox, but not in Chrome. They typically use Firefox so permanently switching browsers isn't the most ideal solution for them. Did this issue ever go away for you in the original browser?

You might be needing to change your cached settings for SOW, Clara provided some info on how to set the session to clear when the browser is closed.

I believe this is a bug in the Service Operations Workspace that ServiceNow needs to fix in order to improve the performance consistency of the product.
The suggestions above are great, but they do not address the root cause.

I don't think switching browsers is an acceptable solution.
I had the same issue in our workspace, but I hadn't delete the record itself.
Clearing the cache of your browser did the trick for me. The 'x' appeared again and I could close the tab.
