Hi,

i am facing issue when discovering Oracle DB on Unix pattern issue as below

Identification Engine: Discovery status is FAILURE, Identification sections in pattern failed: section: Lightweight identification for Oracle DB, error: Match step predicate is not matched. section: Identification for Oracle DB entry point type(s) - no instance on solaris, error: Match step predicate is not matched. section: no process tcp EP

please advice on this to fix issue.

Hi SRE,

You need to check the 3rd step "Process Detection"  on the pattern log. Here you will find the the issue. What I am assuming, it is a AIX host server where Oracle Instance is running. Most probably your discovery credential doesn't have sudo permission for procwdx command on the server. Once you have the sudo permission, your issue will be resolved.
