Identify virtual desktops in SCCM import (Graph Connector for SCCM)

Hi. I'm currently trying to find a way around a customer's requirement. Basically, they are using SCCM to keep track of all of their windows computers. They have some rules for asset management that only run in the personal computer table. So what they want me to find is a way to differentiate Physical computers from virtual desktops, and map the computers to the personal computer table (cmdb_ci_pc_hardware) and the virtual desktops to the Computer table (cmdb_ci_computer).

I see that Vmware virtual desktops have a BIOS Serial number starting with VMware-, then found that Xen vdis have  a model number starting with HV domU but I haven't found a proper way to identify the other types of vdi.

Using the Check Virtual Business Rule won't be possible here as the identification has to be done before inserting the record, and also that BR depends on records from other tables that are not being imported (like VM instances).

Any ideas?
