Installation of MID server as a non-root user on Linux servers?

Hello,

Can we install MID server on Linux server as a non-root user?

Ahh.. specifically install... Yes and no.. I believe you can run a mid as a non root user as this shows but if you want it to run at start up the initd scripts need to be modified as root..

Hey @doug.schulze  I have already gone through that.

As per above line, I see that ROOT user is a must for installation.

I just wanted to know if its possible to install without a ROOT user.
