We are developing a report showing a list of problems and their associated problem tasks. The way we did this was to report on the PTASKS, but to group the records by the parent ( a problem record ). The report works the way we like and contains the information we need. The issue is that the report only shows the problem record number unless we expand it by clicking on the triangular icon. See attached screen shot.
Is there a way to default to open instead of collapsed for the groups?

I know you can click on the top triangle to expand all.

I didn't know about the top triangle icon, but knowning that S/N has a feature rich interface I should have known it.
Thanks for pointing this out. This is a great work around if we can't get the report to default to expanded groups.
Thank you Jacebenson!

Is there a way to do this by default? I don't want to have to click the top triangle icon. I'd like to add the report with a Group By to a dashboard and have the groupings expanded by default on the dashboard/home page.
Thanks,
Lori

Sadly, I've not found a way to do this by default.
The report form doesn't have a setting for this although you would think it might exist in the List Control options.
I checked, but didn't see anything that looked close.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong on this.
Until then, I recommend that you file an enhancement request with Hi.
