ITOM pattern required Visibility Content 6.15.0 not licensed/not available on PDI

Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns 1.10.0 (sn_itom_pattern) requires Visibility Content 6.15.0 (sn_pattern_design).

The D&SM Patterns update fails on a PDI, since VC 6.15.0 is 'not licensed'.
The Application Manager redirects to the ServiceNow Store for VC 6.15.0. Only, plugins or updates can't be retrieved for PDIs in this way.

How can I get D&SM Patterns 1.10.0 installed?

Grr, gotta love a good ServiceNow runaround, but here's the answer.

So, version 6.12.3 is a "plugin" which you perform directly in the instance to install/upgrade.

But, version 6.15.2 is considered an "application".  So you have to go to the ServiceNow Store and request that it be enabled for your instances.

Yes, it's free and No, I don't know why it's like this.

As soon as I completed the Store "purchase", I went back to my sub-prod instance and magically the new 6.15.2 version is now available to be installed.

I only noticed your response now.

PDIs do not have access to the Store. Since the pattern plugin is depending on the visibility content plugin, the patterns will get out of sync.

Just one clarification. This purchase doesnt require any subscripton right? It has to be made available from store on all instances.. M referring this to an actual client instance and not PDI

Also in store app, it says under System requirements that Discovery, Service Mapping, or Cloud Management. So i believe any 1 of this module would suffice to get it from app store

The Visibility Content (sn_pattern_design) plugin does not to show the latest version (6.1.6). My PDI is at Washington P1 level so I was expecting it to be available.

Without that version, I can't install the latest Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns Plugin.

The dependencies for the Visibility Content Plugin include sn_pattern_designer(which is the plugin name for Visibility Content). That seems odd that it depends on itself instead of another plugin. Could that be related to the issue?

I'm having a similar issue with the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager for Investigation which requires  prior installation of sn_ms_epcfgmgr_spk(Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Spoke) from the store.

Hi Jim,

I have exactly the same. After the Washington DC upgrade (patch 0), I was able to install VC plugin version 6.15.2.

The recently released D&SM Patterns plugin 1.11.0 is depending on VC plugin 6.16,  which is again only available in the Store ...

Washington DC patch 1 has not been applied yet, but is scheduled to be soon. I was hoping the patch would allow to install new VC versions, but from your experience it won't.
