Kubernetes discovery - How to setup?

Hi,

I have read through this guide and so has our Kubernetes expert and we are a bit confused so I was hoping someone could provide some clarification -

Kubernetes discovery | ServiceNow Docs

On point 1 it says to run a command and get a user name and password,  on the screenshot it is showing as admin which our expert in this area is a no go for obvious reasons.

Then on point 3 it says to provide a user. We are a bit confused on what actually needs to be provided in Kubernetes for discovery to run.

Additionally does anyone have an example yaml of the permissions that need to be setup or any useful guide on setting it up in Kubernetes?  looking across the community I see a lot around how to set it up in ServiceNow but not so much in Kubernetes.

Hi, regular Kuberenetes discovery requires either user/password or bearer token.

If you are interested in credential-less discovery, which also supports continuous discovery, event and metrics ingestion, logs, service mapping and more you may take a look at this innovation lab project:
