Morning all,
I am currently, what can only be described as, having a battle between our server team and the ServiceNow wiki/support in getting my LDAPS connection setup for authentication.
Following the wiki, Uploading a Certificate - ServiceNow Wiki it advises on a suggested way of creating the certificate which then needs uploading to ServiceNow. When raising this with our Server team, they advised that they need a Certificate Request generating before they can do their side.
Am I miss reading the wiki or what needs doing. Can any one provide a idiots guide on what the server team need to do? Is it just to run the keytool on the DC?
Pete

Much of this process depends on the LDAP setup on your end. If you're using Microsoft AD (which is the most common) then you can find detailed instructions here...
Configuring Microsoft Active Directory for SSL Access - ServiceNow Wiki
Outside of that, you'll probably need to consult the documentation for your LDAP server to see how to enable secure authentication against it.

Thanks Mark, didn't see that on the wiki. I have passed it to the server team to check.
I haven't had an email back yet to say it's not what they need which is a good thing.

Your server team needs to relax This is a very basic process that does nothing more than essentially create a copy of the Root certificate from your local Certificate Authority. Mark's link is exactly correct so be sure to mark it as such.

Spoke to one of the other server guys I get on with. He took one look and said yeah, should be no issues, just a shame he can't do it for me. Will see what they come back with tomorrow.
