MID Server Installation (Access Denied)

Hello,

I am using the ITOM guided setup and am experiencing an issue on our server (Windows Server 2016) when installing the MID server. I am logged in as the mid.server user and have local admin permissions. The mid.server user is also has the mid_server role in the SNOW instance. However, the installer gives me this error after testing connection is successful and trying to save the configuration in the wizard:

"The Installer encountered an error while attempting to save the config file. Check the Installer log files for details."

In the log files, it says "SEVERE: could not save config files
java.io.FileNotFoundException: E:\ServiceNow\TEST_Mid\agent\conf\wrapper-override.conf (Access is denied)"

Researching this took me to a HI article KB0597552 that said the Application Experience may be disabled. I searched in Services but do not see that service listed. Any ideas? Thanks

HI -- I just checked my windows 10 server and followed the steps in the KB article.  The "application experience" service was listed.  Are you saying this doesn't exist on your machine? ...

hope this helps -- but i'm not sure why you wouldn't be seeing this 'service' listed...

Thanks for checking on your end. But yes its not listed for me. Even if it's listed as a different name, everything is enabled.

I did some more google digging and found that it is in the Task Scheduler.

However, after running it, and then trying the installer again it, still get the same error.
