Hi All,
We have to shut down the current mid servers running on windows servers and need to install new MID server.
For this we need to adjust the existing interfaces and configurations where this MID server is used in our servicenow instance.
1. Could you please help me how to find all the configurations/scripts/jobs where we use this MID Server
2. Currently we use an additional MID Server cluster is in PROD and we do not require that anymore. Does it affect the process of installation in any way and also does this mean we have to change anything in the ServiceNow instance.
3.Also, could you please help how to do a manual installation with no service account needed.
Also, how many days are required for the installation and the change in configurations.
Thank you

For a new mid-server you need to know a few things :
Mid-server user credentials. (if you do not know then you can reset it, make sure you update it on other devices too)
If you have whitelisted the mid-server anywhere on the firewall you might need to update the IP address of the new server.
If you are doing it on the same machine then have a look under services if the old mid-server service is running it is better to stop it.

Hi,
Pls find line response.
1. Could you please help me how to find all the configurations/scripts/jobs where we use this MID Server
[SURESH] REST and SOAP configurations are mostly used in Mid server config, CI scheduled job is used for Mid Server part. You can run Health scan report and identify the mid server associated areas as well.
2. Currently we use an additional MID Server cluster is in PROD and we do not require that anymore. Does it affect the process of installation in any way and also does this mean we have to change anything in the ServiceNow instance.
[SURESH] Pls remember when disabling the existing mid server check the dependency facilitated in point1. The important point is which location you are going to install the mid server 2 mid server cant install one directory.
3.Also, could you please help how to do a manual installation with no service account needed.
[SURESH] ServiceAccount is important ,with out this you can complete the installation. Additionally, you should get the domain account with right privilege else the complete connectivity should not be established.
Also, how many days are required for the installation and the change in configurations.
[SURESH] If service and domain account is exist you can complete with in 2 hrs.
Suresh.

hi @ersureshbe . Thank you for the information.
We do not have the instance health scan, is there any other way to identify the mid server associated areas in the instance.
Thank you
