Need help: Windows classification error - Classification payload is empty. Stopping classification.

Hi experts,

 

I'm trying to discovery 2 windows servers.

One server failed with Windows classification error - Classification payload is empty. Stopping classification.

The payload looks like :

Another successed, with payload like below:

Could anyone help advise the reason and resolution? Thank you!

Finally found the reason.
WinRM was not setup correctly on the failed server.

After running the [winrm quickconfig] command, discovery completed successfully.

 

btw, it's a little cold here...

Hi @James160, for WinRM you need to set the Servers on the MID as trusted source. Did you followed the steps in  https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-servicenow-platform/page/product/mid-server/task/enable-winR...?
