Hi,

I'm trying to install mid-server on my home computer (WIndows 10) from my PDI (San Diego) but getting the following error message when trying to open the installer:

find_real_file.png

I have tried to manually install but can't find the installer.bat file referred to in the docs only installer.sh??

Thanks

MID Server install is not supported on Windows 10 as of Quebec/Rome.

There is a thread here on the same : https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=d732841d1b1f7410c17111751a4b...

Thanks,

Thanks Richard,

Thats not what I wanted to hear as devs we want to be able to test stuff outside of work. Hope Servicenow fixes this in the future.

You can always enable Hyper-V in Windows 10 and then install one of the 180-day evaluation copies of the Server OS available from MS into a Hyper-V VM and then run on that....

It is possible to still run a MID server on Windows 10, but you need to know how to configure a few things manually and use the SC.exe command to install the service.

or...

Find a Paris MID installer package, install and connect that to your instance then let it upgrade itself...

Just some ideas...

Hi,

I'm only after running through the KB article to set up a mid server with VirtualBox:

https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0858644

I'd just assumed it would work for my San Diego PDI..

I wish I'd seen this thread first, especially since it took me a while as I'm not familiar with any of it. I guess there's no way to obtain a Paris MID installer package since my PDI is San Diego? No idea about Hyper-V etc..
