when i open events there is a field name "Processing Duration". what it is for and how it populates time?

The Processing duration field gives you the time taken to process ypur event..it displays the value in milliseconds

But what it processes?
I have created a workflow event for Knowledge base. and it takes about 213,622 ms to process. which is too long. Plz help to understand
