Hi Experts,

I have a requirement to fetch a report from CMDB based on the device type i.e Server , Switches , Routers ,UPS etc. I have successfully extracted report for Load Balancer, Server, PDU,UPS devices.

However I am unable to fetch report for Router, Switch & Firewall. Could you guys please help me out which table will help me to fetch this report out from CMDB.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sreejith,

Your Report is not in the way I created.

The condition which I mentioned is not directly a class.

When you select condition, you have to click the class field by this order.

Show related fields-->Nic >>Network adapter fields--> Configuration Item >>Configuration item fields --> Class.

Also in the Slush bucket, it is not Manufacturer.class, it should be Nic.Configuration_item.class.

also, If you don't mention any condition you can see all the 273K records.

Regards,

Vivek

A lot of this will depend upon the design of the CMDB.

By default, it will be tables mentioned above - but you ought to seek out whomever is leading Configuration Management in your organisation to review the schema being used to store CIs.   Only then can you accurately identify which tables (including custom ones) are used.
