Hi developers,
I am doing something smple which is I have been trying to install a discovery mid server in my local machine and link it to my developer instance which is a Paris release.
I created another user in my local machine and I have given it the Log On as a Service right, see below screenshot.
However, the Servicenow mid server installation tool keeps popping up a message that the service account does not have the required right. Any suggestion please??!
Best regards,
Mazin

Hi Mazin,
I have experienced the same recently on one of our partner demo instances. I tried a couple of different VM's, all with the same outcome.
To get around it, I downloaded the ZIP version rather than the MSI. If you download the ZIP version, you can install it as you would have in previous releases, in which case you can configure and start the MID service and then change the windows service credentials afterwards. When doing it this way, there was no issue with the user being granted 'logon as a service' rights.
It seems that it might be a bug in the MSI installer. I've been meaning to log a ticket with ServiceNow about this. Now that I know it wasn't just something weird on my end, I'll get onto it 🙂
Regards,
David

Since you have PDI so you can not open case with Support.
Why do not you install with Simple Local Admin Account. After Installation Start this service with Service account.
