Hi, I am new to Servicenow and Discover Service Mapping.
I want to know if there is difference between entry points of "Discoverable by Service Mapping" and "Manually created".
I understand that the purpose of the entry point is only to tie the application service to the entry CI and does not affect the topology that is configured under the entry CI. Is this correct?
If there is no difference, will the topology be built under the manually registered entry point as well as the entry points registered by URL, etc.?

Hello Makoto,
The "Discoverable by Service Mapping" will perform the identifier process and will run the pattern associated with your entry point and will try to identify the CI type and will check for its connections with other applications/hosts and will continue to discover more connections until the pattern stop finding new connections. Using this option will update automatically your service map ( as long the scheduled discovery for the Application is running ).
If you use the "Manually created" option the CI will remain on the map without further discovery, you will have to manually create each connection for this entry point. You will still have a topology created but it will be a manual one and will not be updated automatically.
You can have "Discoverable by Service Mapping" entry points and "Manually created" on the same map.
