We have an instance of SN now running on a server:
http://pcsng-a0001:80
When I try to open this instance, I am redirected to another instance:
http://pcsng-a0001:443/ess
We are using the top instance as our 'gold' instance. I've added some update sets to this instance recently, but this only started happening last night/this morning...I think.
I've checked various redirect properties but can't find anything w/ a value of http://pcsng-a0001:443/ess
Any ideas as to why this might be happening?
Thanks

ESS - Employee Self Service.
If you are not using CMS, then disable it (plugins). If you are using CMS but do not want users going there, then you may want to take a look at:
http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=Content_Management_Security
for info on how to determine where folks go when they hit your site.

Stolm-
I definitely want CMS activated on both instances.
We're just not sure why when we try to log into one instance, it automatically redirects us to the next instance on the same server.
Not sure I follow how the CM security affects this. Please advise-
Thanks

May want to check your SAML settings to ensure that they are pointing to the right machine. If it was installed on anotehr box in an update set, then you can get redirected to the machien the set was created on.

stolm-
I can't find any reference to SAML on any instance.
When you mentioned SAML, that made sense as to why the redirect could be happening...but I don't see SAML installed on any instance...back to square 1?
