Set Application Service to Operational without Entry Points

Hello,

We have a significant number Application Services which do not have any mapping yet. We want to go ahead and set them to Operational. A business Rule [Change to operational status] prevents from changing the Application Service to Operational unless there is at least one entry point.

I am wondering what is the reason for this validation, and if any impact of de-activating it.
