Hi All
there is an OOB role sm_user for service mapping .
This role inherits itil role . Now as we are looking to replace itil with BS ( Business stakeholdder ) , we want to understand the impact if
a. revoke sm_user role and give BS . Will users still be able to view service maps ?
b.modify the roles inherited by sm_user and replace itil with BS
For both of the above scenarios , will user still be able to access service maps .
please guide me , need urgent help
regards
GARY

Hi,
We need to consider few things here why the role has itil in it:
1) When you look at Service Maps it list the alerts associated with it. This alerts are associated with task records. So to view those records you need itil access.
2) Service Maps can be also shown using app_service_user role and thats the reason it is in ITIL role. So people working on tickets can see this and will help for impact analysis.
3) Did you tested it giving the role to one user and compare with other user who has this roles.
Thanks,
Ashutosh
